Gold-stamped vellum spine over hand-made French marbled paper, illustrated with 6 water colors by Edmund Dulac, the final work of his life. He died before he was able to complete the 10 planned illustrations for the book, and of course was unable to sign the finished books. Printed at the University Press, Cambridge. Including Milton's poem and accompanying songs by Henry Lawes, with a preface to the poem by Mark Van Doren and a preface to the songs by Hubert Foss. Laid in are the advance notice slip from the club, the Monthly Letter of the Limited Editions Club and a reproduction of the obituaries of both Dulac and Foss who died the same day. Fine in very good, gold-stamped slipcase with rubbing to bottom and side. Item #37323
